CSAS events at 2016 JAM

The 2016 ASAS-ADSA®-CSAS-WSASAS Joint Annual Meeting will be held July 19–23 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Salt Palace Convention Center. The Opening Session will be Tuesday evening, July 19. Scientific sessions will begin Wednesday morning, July 20, and continue through noon on Saturday, July 23.

The CSAS Annual General Meeting and Lunch is Thursday, July 21, 12:30 – 2:00 pm in the Salt Palace Convention Center, room 251 E/F. Discussions will include the most recent updates related to the work of your executive team, achievements of the year, and challenges confronting our society. All CSAS members are invited to attend and share their views.
The CSAS Awards Banquet is Friday, July 22, 6:00 – 10:00 pm at the Hotel Monaco, Paris Ballroom. During the banquet we will recognize and celebrate outstanding professional and student members of our society. You are all invited to join in the celebration of great achievements. Come and cheer your colleagues on! Student dinners at this event are partly sponsored by the Canadian Science Publishers.
The CSAS Members Mixer is Friday, July 22, 10:00 pm – 12:00 am at the Hotel Monaco, Paris Ballroom. The CSAS Members Mixer event is a great opportunity to chat, exchange ideas with colleagues and students, and forge future partnerships. All CSAS members are encouraged to attend. This event is sponsored by your society and the Canadian Science Publishers.

Opening Night events at JAM

Opening Night activities on Tuesday, July 19 include a “Meet and Greet” at 4:30 pm in the South Foyer of the Salt Palace Convention Center. Join us for drinks (cash bar) and light snacks. The “Meet and Greet” will be followed by the Opening Session at 5:30 pm in Grand Ballroom E-J. The 2016 opening session will feature a series of “TED”-style talks.
Immediately following the Opening Session, join us at This is the Place Heritage Village for the JAM Opening BBQ. We will have games for the kids, great food, the Big Scoop Ice Cream and Battle of the Brats competitions.
